WITHOUT YOU
José Araujo de Souza
Without your smile,
there is no sun in the sky, if it is day,
neither moonlight nor stars nor night,
when everything goes dark.
There is no sound of waves
and the sea, shallow or deep,
to property, without your smile.
No birds sing in the thickets
and flowers, born in spring,
lose all the perfume and all the color
and they are dull and dull,
without your smile.
When morning comes,
the best time of the day and the purest,
there is no sound, no wind,
there is nothing that can brighten life
when there’s your smile.
And I, who don’t know how to live
without having the life in nature with me,
I’m kind of lost, between dead and alive,
and without smiling, without your smile.
