Friend! Life teaches every living being,
that loneliness is suffocating and hurts us.
So, even the feral, unconscious animal,
seeks the coexistence of another equal.
But we humans, full of greatness,
with our foolish pride and without reason,
we no longer distinguish how much beauty
it exists in the simple act of reaching out.
Your friendship, however, friend, is certain
that marked me, with such depth,
that even far away, you will be close by.
This word friend, already so forgotten,
today you have been reborn, with your humility,
and strong will live in me for a lifetime.
